Family worship: Genesis 50:15-26
Private worship: Deuteronomy 12, Hosea 9, Proverbs 6:1-19, Titus 3:8b-11
Discussion questions: Were Joseph’s brothers right to be scared of what he might do to them after their father died? What do these passages say about God? What do these passages say about me? What do these passages say about the relationship between God and me?
PRAY
Adoration: God is holy, mighty, gracious, and merciful. Spend time declaring your love for Him.
Confession: Continually confessing your sins to God and asking for His forgiveness will keep you from taking the great price Christ paid on the cross for granted.
Thanksgiving: Express your thankfulness to God for the blessings He has given you. When we consider that we deserve punishment because of our sinfulness, and instead God gives to us His love and mercy, our only response should be one of thankfulness.
Supplication: Pray for the children and youth in your church. Pray that they will be able to resist all the temptations the world has to offer and, instead, seek God’s gift of grace through Jesus Christ. Ask God to show you how to see and respond to the needs of others.
